To initiate, in consultation with the management, series of community workshops and events such as the Africa Day Festival and other specially organised music, dance and art festivals that promotes and preserves unique African art and music.
To initiate programs and activities such as the African Chambers of Commerce,
weekend’s markets, and engage with big and medium businesses and large corporate groups that enhances the capacity and favourable environment for the African community members to start and successfully run businesses.
To collect, analyse and publish quarterly news and articles on activities of the QACC and wider African businesses, events, sports, education and other relevant matters of community interests in Queensland.
To initiate and promote sporting and recreational activities and events within and between the African community and other communities in order to not only encourage social interactions and cohesion, but to also identify, encourage and promote talents within the African community.
To initiate workshops and service providers’ community expo that promotes health and wellbeing through exercise and fitness, nutrition or healthy-eating, and to
educate community about other health-related critical information.
To work engage and work closely with educational institutions, families and child
protection agencies to African children access to and completion of quality education and realise their career potential.
To develop best-practice manual, create survey templates to evaluate the
effectiveness and efficiency, arrange with expert to organise workshops for the
QACC’s Management long-term strategic planning, approach and establish
collaboration with higher educational institutions to develop and conduct community research projects with purpose of collecting relevant data that can be used to advocate for the improvement services and programs.
To initiate a series of community seminars that increase knowledge of legal rights and responsibilities particularly around employment, child protection and the work of law enforcement agencies.
